Black Steel Welding Inc. is a Black and veteran owned mobile welding and fabrication service proudly serving New York City and surrounding areas. We bring professional, code-quality welding directly to your site, shop, or project location.

Our team is trained and experienced in all major welding processes including SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (flux core), and GTAW (TIG). Our welders are specialists in their fields and are committed to delivering strong, clean, and reliable welds that meet structural and visual standards.

We operate with professionalism, safety, and accountability at the core of everything we do. Whether the job is structural, repair, custom fabrication, or emergency work, we approach every project with the same level of precision and attention to detail.

Travel Rates (NYC and Surrounding Areas)

Mobilization Fees:
• Inside 25 miles – $100
• 50 miles – $150
• 80 miles – $250

Parking, tolls, and special access permits are billed to the client if required.

Fabrication Pricing

Light fabrication (simple brackets, small repairs, minor modifications): $150 to $200 per hour

Standard fabrication (rails, supports, equipment mounts, small structural components): $200 to $275 per hour

Heavy fabrication (structural steel assemblies, stairs, load bearing components, multi process builds): $275 to $350 per hour

Custom or specialty fabrication (architectural metal, precision TIG work, specialty alloys): Quote required

Material is billed separately unless otherwise stated in contract.

Rates and Billing

General rate is $250 per hour
Daily rate is $2000 per day for one (1) Welder and one (1) Fireguard

There is a $500 minimum on all jobs.

Any job lasting more than 4 hours is billed as a full day.

Jobs lasting more than one week must be paid weekly by Friday.

Project Terms and Conditions

ALL ESTIMATES MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE WORK CAN BEGIN.

Estimate are subject to modification by Black Steel Welding Inc. If pricing changes or additional items are required to complete the project, the client will be informed immediately and a revised estimate will be sent for approval.

Half of the total estimate must be paid in advance. This covers material purchasing, mobilization, and licensing requirements. Work will not begin until deposit is received.

Project start time is typically 3 to 5 business days after initial payment is received. An appointment notice will be sent to confirm scheduling.
